Teeger Entertainment founder and former Macon-Bibb Mayor Pro Tem/Commissioner Al Tillman is also the founder of "UNITY-N-Community Inc." (www.unitytoday.com) and an active member of the community, working with young people and community leaders to help bridge the generational gap through education and communications. He speaks throughout the Macon area and encourages people to put their differences aside and build a better community.
Al was born and raised in Macon, GA. He grew up in Unionville and lived in Bloomfield for more than twenty years. A successful entrepeneur, Al has over 25 years experience in booking comedians and bands throughout the United States.
In addition to his booking agency, Al is the host of a weekly Talk Radio Show "Unity-N-Community." He has been a guest on the Laura Ingraham (Fox Contributor) National Radio show. He also enjoys traveling, writing, wrestling with his children and helping improve his community.
Tillman was appointed by two mayors to serve on the Macon Housing Commission and as Planning & Zoning Commissioner. He is the past Chairman of the Minority Recruitment Board of American Red Cross, and a former NAACP Branch President and National Conflict Resolution Trainer. He has served as Parent Council for his area elementary school.
He is a military Veteran and served in the U.S. Army. Al trained at Fort Jackson and was assigned to Fort Lee, Virginia Quartermaster School as a Material & Accounting Specialist. He was activated with the 48th Brigade for Desert Storm / Desert Shield during the administration of President Bush.
Al Tillman has received many community service awards, including Citizen of The Year, from Keep Macon Bibb Beautiful, the Mayor's office, Alpha Phi Alpha and Omega Psi Phi Fraternities. He's listed in Georgia Informer ”40 Under 40”; Young, Gifted, & Black News Publication.
